Saving Energy Saves You Money On Steam And Sauna
Sauna360 are here to support our customers as much as we can, especially during these uncertain times. Energy prices are at record levels, and we would like to help you on your way to lowering your energy use whilst still enjoying steam and sauna experiences. We are all concerned over rising costs of energy and how the rate of inflation will affect both businesses and households. We believe that we have a lengthy period of challenges ahead. It is not too late to act now. Over the last 6 months Sauna360 have been working with our manufacturing partners to create innovative products and ideas to help you make minor changes with massive benefits to your running costs of your sauna and steam thermal rooms. You have nothing to lose, and everything to gain. These products can be retro fitted or included into your next design and installation of your spa thermal suite.
Sauna
- Eco button. Will halve the power output of the sauna heater for quiet periods. Timed to automatically turn on again after set period or reset manually.
- Sauna heater. Choose a heater with a large stone capacity. The residual heat will assist the Eco mode but will also provide excellent heating and perfect for infusion. Means you do not have to run the sauna longer. Let the stone maintain your room heat.
- Sauna walls & Ceiling. Strong, robust, and well insulated wall & ceiling panels for long life and economic running.
- Stone or ceramic covering. The use of a stone or large format tile around the heater will protect the timber structure in the hottest areas as well as providing an aesthetic finish.
- Infusion. Increase your humidity. The automatic or requested infusion of water and essence onto the sauna heater provides excellent theatre and an invigorating boost and can allow the room to be effective at lower temperatures - water conducts heat better than dry air, so a high humidity sauna at 70c can feel as hot as a low humidity sauna at 90c.
- Self-closing hinges. Ensures the door is closed to prevent heat loss. We ensure that the hinges are sauna rated to cope with temperatures up to 100 degrees Celsius.
- Sauna ceiling. Ensure height is applicable to tier benching you have. Two tier bench stick to no higher than 2200. Three tier increase height to 2400.
- Door control. Will monitor access and can turn the sauna heater off when not in use.
- Door glass. We use 10mm glass which provides a light, spacious feel with enhanced insulation.
- Wellness system. Our clever airflow system recovers otherwise wasted hot air, precisely controls air changes, maintains slightly negative air pressure to keep heat inside the cabin, and enhances air circulation around the sauna for a better sauna experience.
- Sauna benching. Thick and sturdy structure to hold 100 kilo per linear meter.
- SUPI wood treatment. applied to all wooden parts that meet the body. Apply every 3 months. Only takes 15 minutes of your time and keeps the sauna looking like new.
- Towels. Always ask your clients to sit on a towel - it's more hygienic for them and can double the life expectancy of benches, particularly if near a hot tub or swimming pool

Steam
- Wellness system. Our clever airflow system pumps steam and aroma in at bench level and extracts old air at floor level resulting in a very steamy atmosphere, perfect circulation of warmth at bathing height, and slight negative air pressure to keep steam inside the room.
- Self-closing hinges. Ensures the door is closed to prevent loss of heat or steam.
- Bench heating. A smart way to reduce energy costs, bench heating also dries the cabin after use which is good for hygiene and product life span.
- Eco button. Keeps the steam generator in standby mode when the room is not being used, ready to produce steam on request.
- Insulated wall & ceiling. We use extra-thick insulated wall & ceiling panels which keep running costs down and reduce condensation for a better bathing environment.
- Eco door sensor. Can be used to automatically activate steam production when someone enters the steam room.
- Insulation. All out hot pipework is well insulated to minimise heat loss and condensation.
- Steam generator. Element type steam generator which can be easily descaled rather than the consumable electrode type. This could easily save over a £1000 per annum!
- Water softener. A small water softener in hard water areas will reduce maintenance and extend equipment lifespans.
- Steam essence dosing. Precise dosing systems can be set for the optimal strength and deliver high fragrance concentrations in low doses which are long lasting, efficient, and thus economic.
- Door Glass. We use 10mm glass which provides a light, spacious feel with enhanced insulation.
