Outdoor Chalet Sauna Suite

The site available, immediately behind the main property suited perfectly the MIKA design with deep walls and compact but attractive fascia. The standard model was however a little short on space to meet all the client’s requirements so a special extended model was commissioned with an extra central room to house the shower and cold plunge. The result: a completely self-contained family sauna retreat, constructed in beautiful 60mm Solid Spruce log with traditional cross lap corners. 

The comfortable lounge may be enjoyed all year round thanks to modern slim-line electric heaters and the wet area with tanked floor includes shower and cold plunge tub for a truly authentic sauna experience while the generous proportions of the sauna itself allow the whole family to stretch out and relax!

A: Traditional cold water plunge and purpose built shower A bespoke waterproof floor was fitted in the centre of the dedicated shower room to create a wetroom environment perfect for using the traditional cold water plunge tub. Invigorating and refreshing after a session in the sauna.

Built to last a lifetime in 60mm solid Spruce log using cross lap corner joints, the traditional construction of the chalet combines an extremely strong structure with an attractive cottage style appearance. The clever design places the entrance in the end wall allowing the cabin to fit neatly and unobtrusively into the existing garden setting alongside the client’s home.

A neatly positioned opening feature window was used to provide natural light and ventilation within the sauna room whilst creating a decorative focal point.

The generous family sauna room seats up to 6 bathers on its inviting L shaped bench layout and uses Helo’s famous Softhot Sauna heater – ideal for providing plenty of steam.
